It's Spring! And feels a bit like Christmas...

When we bought our new house and moved in this past Christmas, we hadn't seen the land with plants or the trees with leaves.  Now that spring has finally come to Minnesota, we are enjoying the surprises we are finding popping up in the gardens!

Hosta

Hosta

And more Hosta!
We're looking forward to seeing if these apple/crab apple trees produce anything...and what we can make from it!
Hoping to enjoy some raspberries and maybe a few grapes too this summer!

It is a good thing it took me a while to get around to planting pumpkins, squash, cucumbers and melons, because I found some tulips growing up where I was going to plant...can't wait to see what colors will appear!

I've got lettuce and spinach planted in planters, peas in large pots, pumpkins, squash, cucumbers and melons planted  around the hosta and tulips and strawberries ordered.  I transplanted rhubarb and chives from friends yesterday.  Also planted some sunflowers near the mailbox.  And it's raining, and raining, and raining.  Praying that we get some good things to eat as God blesses the plants and ground (and keeps the chipmunk fed on other things)!

What do you have planted in your garden?
